Members of the Merrill W. Linn Land & Waterways Conservancy have designed and maintain a number of trails for the general public.

The Rural Routes I and Rural Routes II trail brochures contain more information. Trail maps and detailed information on three of these trails is in trail brochures that are found at the trail kiosks for the Shamokin Mountain, Koons’, and Dale’s Ridge trails.

Several of the trails are maintained by monthly trail stewards––local families, scout and youth groups, and interested individuals who work on a trail for a specific month of the year.
